Feature: Pure sodium sulfide is a colorless crystalline powder.Strong moisture absorption, easy to change color in the air, unstable. Soluble in water, the solution is strong alkaline, skin and hair will cause burns, it is also known as alkali sulfide; Slightly soluble in alcohol, insoluble in ether. Soluble in sulfur to form sodium polysulfide.Sodium sulfide is corrosive, toxic, and easily oxidized in the air to form sodium thiosulfate. Use: For mining. Dyestuff industry, printing and dyeing industry for the production of sulfur dyes or AIDS. It is used in leather industry for hydrolysis to depilate raw leather and in paper industry as cooking agent.
